Health and Safety in the Workplace - Level 3

The aim of this award is to help managerial level practitioners (supervisors) attain a thorough knowledge and better skills in managing health and safety systems.

This course will help participants to

  • Understand the terminology used in respect of health and safety
  • Realize the benefits of providing and ensuring high standards of health and safety at the workplace
  • Understand the principles of risk assessment and its role in creating an efficient health and safety management system
  • Understand how to identify and control common workplace hazards
  • Emphasize on applying the requirements of welfare provisions in the workplace
  • Understand how to promote a positive health and safety culture
  • Appreciate the role of training and motivating safe behavior and adherence to health and safety procedure
  • Emphasize on the supervisors’ role in ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements with respect to health and safety
